Applications of Fiber Reinforced Polymer Composites in Civil Engineering Structures

The use of Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) composite material for reinforcement purposes in buildings is a very current technique that is subject to new research and development. In addition, the demand for FRP composite materials is increasing day by day, not only in the field of civil engineering but also in other engineering fields. Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) composite reinforcement is a technique used to solve structural dynamics problems. Current scientific articles also show that the Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) composite reinforcement technique used correctly in structures makes positive contributions to the rigidity of the structure, its natural frequency, or the reduction of excessive building mass, which is a negative situation. The aim of this book is to shed light on this very new and popular technique for valuable civil engineers and valuable researchers by examining the dynamic behaviors of different types of structures reinforced with different types of Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) composite materials separately and practically. For this purpose, in the book, strengthening techniques with different types of Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) composites are analytically applied to different types of structures and the modal analysis results are examined.
